Privacy
Short version: there are no accounts, no cookies, and no advertising trackers. Your practice progress is stored on your own device and is never uploaded.
No cookies
Studyledge sets no cookies at all, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss. Nothing on this site follows you to other sites.
Your practice progress
When you use the practice modes, your answers, scores and session history are saved in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on the device you used and is never sent to a server. Clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently, and because it is never uploaded, there is no copy to recover.
The site also generates a random identifier for your device (a random string, not derived from your name, email, phone or IP). It exists so the AI tutor can apply a daily usage limit fairly.
The AI tutor
The AI tutor is the only feature that sends anything off your device, and only when you actually use it. When you ask a question, the following is sent to our server and then to the AI provider that generates the reply: your question text, the subject and the topic or question you are looking at, the recent messages in that conversation, and the random device identifier above.
Your message content is not written to a log or kept in a profile. To keep the service cheap and fast, common replies may be cached and reused for other students asking the same thing about the same question, which does not involve storing anything about who asked.
Preventing abuse
To stop one device or connection exhausting the tutor for everyone, the server keeps simple counters of how many requests have been made. These store a number only, under a key derived from the device identifier or the network address, and they delete themselves after two days. Network addresses are used for this rate limiting and are not retained beyond it.
Feedback
If you answer an in-page feedback prompt, only an anonymous monthly tally of the answers is kept. Nothing links a response to a person or a device.
Analytics
Studyledge uses privacy-preserving, cookie-free analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views, and only when it is switched on for a deployment. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you and does not track you across sites. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site.
If you email us, we hold that message in order to reply to it, in the same way as any other email. There is no mailing list, and you will not be added to one.
Children
This site is aimed at school-age students. That is exactly why it collects no personal details, has no sign-up, and stores progress only on the device.
Your rights
Because no account exists and nothing is stored against your identity, there is no personal profile to request, correct or delete. You can erase everything the site holds about you by clearing your browser storage. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.
Changes
If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
