Receptionist: Good morning, Fenwick Dental Practice, how can I help?

Patient: Hi, I'd like to book an appointment. I've had a toothache since yesterday.

Receptionist: Sorry to hear that. Let's get you booked in. Could I take your name?

Patient: It's Rosa Bianchi.

Receptionist: And your surname, could you spell that for me?

Patient: Sure, B-I-A-N-C-H-I.

Receptionist: Thanks. Have you been to us before, or are you a new patient?

Patient: New patient, this is my first time.

Receptionist: No problem, I'll just take a couple more details. Date of birth?

Patient: It's the 9th of November.

Receptionist: And can I take a contact number?

Patient: Yes, it's 07734 528190.

Receptionist: Great. We have an emergency slot tomorrow, or if you'd rather wait, a routine slot on Friday.

Patient: I'll take the slot tomorrow, the pain's quite bad.

Receptionist: OK, that'll be at 9.15 tomorrow morning. You'll be seeing Dr Whitmore. Are you allergic to any medication, particularly penicillin?

Patient: Yes, actually, I'm allergic to penicillin.

Receptionist: Thanks for letting us know, I'll flag that on your file. Lastly, do you have dental insurance, or will this be a private booking?

Patient: It'll be private, I don't have insurance.

Receptionist: That's fine. I'll give you a booking reference, it's DEN2231.

Patient: DEN2231, got it, thank you.
