Travel Agent: Good morning, Silversands Travel, this is Claire. How can I help? Customer: Hi Claire, I'd like to book the guided cycling tour of the Loire Valley that's advertised on your website. Travel Agent: Certainly, I can help with that. Could I take your name, please? Customer: Yes, it's Adrian Fitzgerald. Travel Agent: Could you spell your surname for me? Customer: Of course. F-I-T-Z-G-E-R-A-L-D. Travel Agent: Fitzgerald, thank you. And how many people will be travelling in your group? Customer: There'll be four of us altogether, my wife, our two adult children and myself. Travel Agent: Lovely, a group of four. We currently have two departure dates available, the twelfth of April and the third of May, which would suit you? Customer: The third of May would be better for us, since the children finish exams by then. Travel Agent: The third of May it is. Now, for accommodation, we offer either three-star hotels or a mix of family-run guesthouses, the guesthouse option tends to be more atmospheric, though slightly less central. Customer: We'll go with the guesthouses, then, that sounds more in keeping with the trip. Travel Agent: Great choice. The tour begins with a welcome meeting, everyone gathers at the tourist office in Amboise on the first morning. Customer: Amboise, got it. Travel Agent: Bikes are included in the package, but if anyone needs an e-bike upgrade, that's an additional forty-five pounds per person. Customer: We'll take the standard bikes, thanks, no need for the upgrade. Travel Agent: No problem. For travel insurance, we offer a standard policy included in the price, or a premium policy with better medical cover for an extra charge, which would you prefer? Customer: We'll take the premium option, just to be safe. Travel Agent: Good idea for a cycling trip. To secure the booking today, we'll need a deposit of one hundred and fifty pounds, with the balance due six weeks before departure. Customer: That would make the balance due date the third of March, then? Travel Agent: Let me check... actually, six weeks before the third of May brings us to the twenty-second of March, so that's your balance due date. Customer: Understood, the twenty-second of March. Travel Agent: I'll email you the full itinerary, and here's your booking reference for now, it's LV5567. Customer: LV5567, thank you very much. Travel Agent: My pleasure, we'll be in touch nearer the time!
